Biokovo - sv. Jure

The Sv. Jure hiking tour takes you to the highest peak of Biokovo at 1762 meters above sea level, located within the beautiful Biokovo Nature Park. The tour lasts approximately 7 hours, plus transportation time. This is a demanding hike with around 1250 meters of elevation gain and it is recommended for participants with good physical condition.

From the summit of Sv. Jure, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Adriatic Sea, the Dalmatian hinterland and nearby islands. During exceptionally clear weather, the mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina can also be seen in the distance. A panoramic telescope is installed at the viewpoint for an even better experience.

At the top of Sv. Jure there is a television tower, a telecommunications facility and the Church of St. George, which was built in 1968 on the site of the old church that historically existed as early as the 12th century. Next to the chapel, on the southern side, there is a stone marker displaying the name of the peak, its elevation and an official hiking stamp.

The price includes guidance by a licensed guide, insurance, transportation reservation from Sinj and back, and photos from the tour.

Food and accommodation are not included in the price, but we can arrange reservations at local restaurants and accommodations upon request.
